An branch of Norwegian sinister metallic element legends Emperor, Zyklon was founded by guitarist/bassist Zamoth (aka Samoth, as he is known in Emperor), wHO wanted to focus on the more modern and fast-growing aspects of the latter band's style. Compared with Emperor, Zyklon has a more than hard-edged and less atmospherical or regal sound; its members have chosen the broader extreme metal tag, as opposed to black metal, to report their music. (They have too made a stop of distinguishing themselves from Zyklon-B, some other, earlier, Emperor branch.) Zyklon was founded in 1998, just their official lineup took a twosome of age to amply come together, set in the year 2000 with drummer Trym (also of Emperor) and bassist/lead guitar player Destructhor (Myrkskog) filling in the other instrumental slots. Their first-class honours degree album, Domain of Worms, came out on Candlelight Records in 2001 with Daemon from Limbonic Art manipulation lead-in vocals. The lyrics for Macrocosm of Worms were written all by one-time Emperor drummer Bard "Faustus" Eithun, further highlight the Emperor connexion.

Amy Winehouse caught flirting

London (ANI): English singer songwriter Amy Winehouse was told off for openly flirting with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil across a court on June 02, as he sat in the dock awaiting judgement. The troubled singer is said to have repeatedly gestured and mouthed words to him, even silently saying, "I love you" and blowing him a kiss, and making a gesture for him to come and sit down next to her. Fielder-Civil, 26, charged with GBH and perverting of justice, too swapped lingering smiles with her from behind a bulletproof glass. Winehouse next handed a note written by a red felt pen to his solicitor, to pass to her hubby, and at one point she took out a silver anchor on a chain around her neck and signalled to him she was caressing it.

Screen legend Richard Widmark dies

Richard Widmark, the actor who gave cinema one of its greatest villains with his performance as Tommy Udo in the film noir classic 'Kiss of Death', has died. He was 92.
The actor, who was Oscar-nominated for his role as Udo, passed away on Monday at his home in Connecticut; no further details were released.
Born in Minnesota in 1914, Widmark had intended to become a lawyer but changed direction when he performed in plays in college.
Among his other famous films were 'Pick Up on South Street', 'Night and the City', 'Broken Lance', 'The Alamo' and 'How the West Was Won'.
He is survived by his wife Susan, whom he married in 1999, and daughter Anne from his first marriage to the late writer Jean Hazelwood.

June 12, 2008 () - The Jonas Brothers looked charming and dapper at the premier of Disney Channel's made-for-TV musical, Camp Rock on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in New York City.

The film, which airs on The Disney Channel at 8PM ET/PT on Friday, June 20, centers on a teen girl Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato), a talented singer who wants to become a pop star.

Mitchie gets a chance to attend the prestigious musical camp, Camp Rock but cannot afford the expense. Her mother gets a job as a Camp Rock cook so that Mitchie can attend as long as she helps out in the kitchen between classes.

Mitchie lives a double life hiding that she is the cook's daughter and posing as a well-to-do camper in order to become part of the hottest clique at camp. She discovers how competitive the campers at Camp Rock truly are while working hard to perfect her musical talent.

She gets her break when she is overheard singing by teen pop star and celebrity camp instructor, plus lead singer of Connect Three, Shane Gray (Joe Jonas). However, before she can step into the spotlight she has to overcome her own fears.

Kevin Jonas plays Jason, the lead guitarist of the band, , Connect Three, and Nick Jonas plays Nate, the guitarist and vocalist.

Hollywood Productions Moving East

At least four television series that were to have been produced in Hollywood will
be shot in New York instead in order to allow producers to take advantage of recently
enacted local and state tax credits for shows filmed in that state, the Los Angeles T
imes observed today (Tuesday). The series include, Ugly Betty, Life on Mars,
Fringe, and Kings. In fact so much TV and film production is suddenly
moving to New York that producers are having a difficult time finding studio space
there where they can be shot. Jim Sharp, an executive with 20th Century Fox Television,
told the Times, "If you try and lock in a soundstage facility, there are people
standing in line. You better not blink, or you're going to miss an opportunity."
The exodus of shows to New York has raised concerns among Hollywood production crew
workers, who already felt the effects of the writers strike in their own pocketbooks.
In an interview with the Times, Steve Dayan, a Teamsters' business agent,
said, "Television is really the lifeblood of the below-the-line economy in Hollywood,
so if we start losing TV series to other states, then obviously it's going to create
more hardship for our members."

"Survivor" winner Richard Hatch appeals to Supreme Court

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — "Survivor" winner Richard Hatch has appealed his tax evasion conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court, his attorney said Tuesday.

Hatch was convicted two years ago of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the debut season of the hit CBS reality series. The Newport, R.I., man was sentenced to more than four years in prison.

Hatch's lawyer, Michael Minns, has said his client confronted producers about cheating during taping of the show, and a producer promised his taxes would be paid if he kept quiet and went on to win the competition. CBS has said Hatch's claims have no merit.

In a brief filed with the Supreme Court last week, Minns argued the judge improperly prevented Hatch from testifying about the conversation.

Minns also argued the judge unfairly limited his cross-examination of the tax accountant who prepared Hatch's tax returns and who was a key witness for the government.

"He's extremely optimistic about his appeal," Minns said. "He still believes the system should work."

The U.S. Supreme Court takes up only a small number of the appeals it receives.

Minns also said Hatch was writing a book about "his experiences with the legal system and his disappointment not just with the problems that he suffered but with the problems other people have suffered that he has met."

Justin Timberlake - Timberlake Buys The First Golf Course He Played On

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has bought the golf course his dad taught him to play the sport on - to save it from developers.

Timberlake is a golf fanatic and plays off a handicap of six.

He confesses he only "got into" the sport six years ago, when he was 20 - but the childhood trip to the Memphis, Tennessee course inspired him to rescue it from being turned into apartments.

Timberlake tells U.S. talk show host Jay Leno, "My dad taught me to hit a gold ball on this course, when I was 12 years old. They were going to auction it off and turn it into a development, so we swooped in and got it."

The singer is currently battling his mother's plans to name the course after the famous family, adding, "My mum wants it to be called Timberlake Trails or something like that."
